Maria Vanesa Utz is a clinical psychologist and music educator from Paraguay, has dedicated over 20 years to nurturing children's development through early music education and choral conducting. She is a university teacher, leader of different Nacional sociocultural programs and founder & CEO of EducArt® Center, an intercultural hub providing bilingual music and movement children programs with a special curriculum for neurological and developmental differences.

Gerard Stokes teaches 4-8 general music in Lincoln Public Schools.  He obtained his B.S. in Music Education from S.C. State University and his M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University.  Gerard has completed his Level III Certification and attends masters classes in Orff-Schulwerk.  He served as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee, as the former chapter president of the Lowcountry Chapter, and currently as Vice-President of the New England Chapter of the AOSA.  Mr. Stokes has presented at AOSA’s Professional Development Conference in Albuquerque, AOSA’s Professional Learning Network, Teaching with Orff, as well as local AOSA chapters.

Join us on the campus of William Paterson University for a workshop with Scott Roether! This workshop will explore the various primary resources within Orff Schulwerk. Though seemingly unapproachable to some at first glance, there is an incredible wealth of opportunity contained in these resources. Through a series of process-based activities, participants will further discover the potential contained in using Orff and Keetman's primary resources. The workshop will explore applications for pre-primary through middle school classrooms, with a special focus on finding opportunities for the inclusion of each activity in your grade level curricula.

Scott Roether teaches music and movement at University School in Cleveland, Ohio where he works with boys ages four through ten. Previously, he worked as an arts integration specialist and public school teacher. He has completed Levels training, as well as Master Classes, Curriculum Development, and the International Summer Course at the Orff-Institut. In addition to his previous training in Orff Schulwerk, Scott completed his Master’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in Orff Schulwerk from the University of St. Thomas. A frequent presenter both locally and nationally, he serves Greater Cleveland Orff as Vice President and Program Chair.

This workshop will be filled with songs, games, and ideas through the lens of Orff Schulwerk to broaden your perspective, and perhaps change your mindset, on who gets to play what in the music classroom.

Ardith Collins teaches general music and string ensemble at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in Manhattan and is adjunct faculty at Montclair State University. Ardith completed Orff Levels at Villanova/University of the Arts, Kodály Levels at Westminster Choir College, and Beginner Level Dalcroze Eurhythmics at Anderson University, and is finishing her EdD at Rowan University. She is an avid folk dancer, performer, and rounds and Balkan music enthusiast. Ardith is past president of the Northern New Jersey Orff chapter and serves on the AOSA CORS and Reverberations Board.

Casey Goryeb teaches 6th Grade Chorus and 7th & 8th Grade Band and General Music at Copeland Middle School in Rockaway Township, NJ. She has both a B.A. in Music (Flute) and a B.S. in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Instruction from TCNJ. Casey completed her Orff Levels and Curriculum Course at Villanova/University of the Arts and Master Class at George Mason University. Casey is the Past President of the Northern New Jersey Orff Chapter and serves as the Course Director for their summer Orff Levels Courses. Casey resides in Hackettstown, NJ with her husband, Aaron, twin toddlers, and rescue dog, Bear.

Rob DelGaudio is a composer and elementary music educator based in the NYC area. He holds BM and MM degrees from Manhattan School of Music and Hofstra University. He received his Orff levels training at Hofstra University, Villanova University and George Mason University. Rob creates content for music educators on YouTube. His channel, Music with Mr DelGaudio features his original songs and lesson ideas and currently has over 16K subscribers. Additionally, he is a graduate of the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Program. He is the creative director of his own theatre company, Pancake Productions, leader of the Tarrytown Ukulele Jam and the author of a Barnes & Noble exclusive book titled 'Music'.
